Credits, Gift Certificates, and Coupon Codes

Account credits expire 1 year from the date of purchase or assignment. Gift certificates expire at the end of the following calendar year.

Skill Level Requirements
Participants must register for the appropriate skill level for their safety and the safety of others.

By registering for any rider group, you agree that you possess the necessary skills to participate in that group's activities. If at any time you are identified as a rider lacking skills for your registered level, you may be asked to join a more appropriate group. Should all appropriate groups be filled, you may be prevented from continuing to participate in the event.

Partial refunds will NOT be provided in such cases.

You agree to abide by all rules and regulations set for your rider group and all rules and regulations set in the RideSmart Rider's Manual. Failure to observe these regulations may result in ejection from the event.

It is imperative that you register for the appropriate level for your and other riders' safety.

Advanced Group Restrictions

Participants in the Advanced and Personal Instruction groups must meet specific criteria including predictable and consistent lines, minimum lap times, and other requirements as outlined in the level pages.

Due to closing speed differentials, lightweight classed machines (Ninja 250/300, RC390, etc.) are not allowed in Advanced at COTA irrespective of lap times.

Novice First-Timer Benefits

Only riders in Novice registering for their first trackday are eligible for complimentary leather and boot rentals. For subsequent trackdays, leather and boot rental must be paid for at the standard rental prices.

Gift Funds

When adding gift funds to another rider's account, you understand that funds will be placed onto the specified rider's account. The rider must be currently registered with a valid email address. Once applied, funds will be automatically used for any transaction when the account holder purchases events, merchandise, or add-ons.

The account holder will be responsible for any additional balance if the funds do not cover the entire transaction. Funds are generally added within 72 hours of purchase.

Funding is non-refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash.

Event Certificates

Event certificates provide a code that can be used at checkout for the full amount of a single trackday at the purchased track. The single-use code can be used by anyone and must be entered exactly as received during checkout.

Codes are non-refundable and must be used for events during the calendar year or season indicated. Codes are generally emailed within 72 hours of purchase.

Certificates are non-refundable, cannot be redeemed for cash, and do not apply to add-ons or merchandise. Certificate codes will not apply to events within 15 days of purchase unless the Add $30 option is selected.

Waiting List

Placement on a waiting list does not guarantee registration for an event. If a spot becomes available or an additional level opens, you will receive an email notification at the address associated with your account. Spots tend to fill quickly, so monitor your email closely.

All notifications cease and waiting list requests are not accepted on the Friday (Thursday for COTA) before the weekend event starts.

RideSmart 101 Program

RideSmart 101 is an introductory presentation about RideSmart and is not a trackday or full day school. The program teaches you about track days, answers questions, and lets you observe class and track sessions during a RideSmart event.

At select venues, if you bring your motorcycle, you may be able to follow an instructor on a slow-speed parade lap on the track. This is the only track time you may receive and is not considered a trackday for insurance or any other purpose. Note that no parade laps are offered at COTA.

Do not take this class if you are already signed up for the trackday on the same day.

Elite Membership

Elite memberships are valid for one year from the date of purchase. Members agree to abide by all rules and regulations set in the RideSmart Rider's Manual.

The refund/cancellation policy as described on the Registration Changes and Refunds page applies to events. There are no refunds for membership fees if benefits have been used or after 30 days.

CMRA Race Practice Groups

Participants in CMRA Race Practice groups must be licensed racers with the CMRA or Experienced/Advanced riders with RideSmart, depending on the specific group. You agree to abide by all rules and regulations set in the CMRA Handbook.

If you are identified as a rider lacking skills for the level or are unlicensed, you may be prevented from continuing to participate. Partial refunds will not be provided in such cases.

Aprilia Fly-N-Ride Motorcycle Rental

Motorcycle rental is for one day only and does not include the trackday registration. You must be signed up for the event separately.

To rent a motorcycle, you must have a Class M license or equivalent, be 21 years of age or older, and understand that a $1,000 deposit will be required. You are responsible for any damage to the motorcycle.

Rental does not include personal gear such as leathers, boots, helmet, or gloves. Leathers and boots are available for rent with the event. You must provide your own helmet and gloves.

Mini Camp (Bittinger Motorsports)

The Mini Camp presented by Bittinger Motorsports provides no on-track time. The program is only on mini bikes on a closed course in the parking lot. You agree to abide by all rules and regulations set in the RideSmart Rider's Manual.

Special Groups

Certain rider groups (Ladies Only, Cruisers and Adventure Bikes, X Group, CMRA Racer Group) may be combined with other levels if the number of registrants does not meet minimum criteria. You will be notified if this occurs.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

By registering for any event, you acknowledge that you understand the refund/cancellation policy. For complete details on cancellations, refunds, account credits, and transfers, please review our Registration Changes and Refunds page.
